According to Finfacts (2006), Mercer Human Resource Consulting’s research of the world rankings of the cost of living clearly displays that at 34th and 40th places, it is considerably cheaper in Brazil than in several other European cities: London 5th most expensive; Paris 15th; Dublin 18th; Sao Paulo 34th; Rio de Janeiro 40th, which means that tourists can experience a luxury holiday for a fraction of the price they would pay elsewhere.
